Sarah Spence

Hi! I'm Sarah, the owner and head trainer of Spence K9. Growing up I always had a passion for animals and knew I wanted to work with them in some capacity as an adult. I helped train all of my family's dogs growing up and was introduced to professional dog training while in college.

 

At UNCW, I participated in the paws4people Service Dog Training Program and Puppy Development Internship where I learned all about dog behavior, dog health and wellbeing, handling and socializing Service Dogs, and raising/training Service Dog puppies.

After graduating, I attended Highland Canine School for Dog Trainers where I graduated the Master Trainer Program in the top of my class with honors. This program was able to further my knowledge on dog behavior and teach me valuable skills for training several different specialties within dog training such as agility, Service Dogs, Detection Dogs, Police K9s, and more.

While Spence K9 regularly offers general and advanced obedience training and Service Dog training, I am constantly expanding my knowledge through books, seminars, and hands on experience and love getting to add some specialty training to my day.
